When Good Representation Is Enthroned, The People Win”… Rep. Onuigbo
… As he celebrates Court victory

The incumbent member representing Ikwuano Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State, and the authentic candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, under the All Progressives Congress, Rep. Sam Onuigbo says the enthronement of good representation determines the resounding victory of the people.

This is even as the Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, Imo State capital, has today, sacked Hon. Emeka Atuma as the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress,APC, for Abia Central Senatorial race.

The court maintained that Sam Onuigbo was the elected candidate of the APC having participated in the party’s primaries and also purchased the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms.

Meanwhile, the Court sets aside the judgment of the Federal High Court Umuahia, presided over by Justice Evelyn Anyadike, on October 4, which had declared Atuma winner of the primary election of the APC in Abia Central.

Reacting ecstatically to the judgment in his message, Onuigbo
expressed utmost gratitude to God Almighty for granting him strength, as well as resources, and wisdom in his quest to ensure that justice is done”.

Moreso, he thanked immensely the judiciary, describing same as the last hope of the common man, as he used the medium to plead with the leadership of the party, its members, and Abians in general, to work collaboratively with him, in order to ensure the enthronement of good representation in the State

“I welcome with happiness the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Owerri, which confirmed my legitimacy as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Abia Central Senatorial District. Truly, the judiciary remains the only hope of the common man.

“A lot of work was put into structuring the 2022 Electoral Act and it is my belief as one of those who worked hard on it that this important piece of legislation will strengthen our democracy and take it to the next level.

“My appreciation goes to God for the strength, provision of resources, and wisdom in this quest to ensure that justice is done. I also thank my family, my friends, my political team, my legal team, the media, and all my supporters for solidly standing behind me as we joined Abians, Nigerians, and indeed young people across the country to ensure that impunity did not reign. This victory is a triumph of justice. May we always work hard to enthrone justice wherever we find ourselves.

“I appeal to our entire party leadership and members, and Abians, to join hands with me for us to move to the next stage of ensuring that we enthrone in Abia Central, good representation which I have symbolized over the years as is supported by my verifiable achievements. When good representation is enthroned, it is the people who win.

“God bless us all. Thank you all.”

Earlier, Onuigbo had insisted that his counterpart Atuma did not take part in the primary election that produced him as winner but rather had contested in the Governorship primary election in which he (Atuma) had lost to Ikechi Emenike.

Meanwhile, the Court sets aside the judgment of the Federal High Court Umuahia, presided over by Justice Evelyn Anyadike, on October 4, which had declared Atuma winner of the primary election of the APC in Abia Central.

However, the trial judge said that APC held Abia Central senatorial Primary on the 28th and 29th of May 2022, which did not produce any result.

Justice Anyadike held that the party held another one on June 7th 2022, which produced Emeka Atuma as the candidate for Abia Central Senatorial seat, saying it will be wrong for Onuigbo to rely on an inconclusive primary to claim the ticket.
