SSG, Ugbala X-rays Impacts Of Umahi’s Government On Ebonyians

The Secretary to the Government of Ebonyi State has commended the present administration of Governor David Umahi, saying his government since inception, has eradicated poverty from among the people.

The SSG, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala reiterated that the All Progressives Congress, APC led Government of Governor David Umahi had, through his people’s oriented policies and politics provided economic prosperity to the people of the state.

Dr Kenneth Ugbala spoke shortly after he cast his during the just concluded Ebonyi State Council polls, on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

According to the SSG, aside drastically transforming the state into a huge construction site through massive buildings of basic infrastructure, such like roads, flyovers, electricity, among others, the Governor Umahi led administration has also lifted thousands out of abject poverty through various empowerment policies and programmes.

He went further to emphasize that the said empowerment policies and programme with its multiplier effect, has evidently engendered human capital development and economic prosperity in the state.

Hear him: “The Governor David Umahi led administration has done more in the aspect of human capital development as much as he has, in providing infrastructure to the people. But, the intangible nature of human capital development and economic prosperity has made it not to be much talked about. The human capital drive of the Umahi led Government has impacted on the live of many serious minded individuals in the state”, he pointed out.

Asked why he over the years, has remained relevant in the government of Ebonyi State, he said: “My continuous relevance as a major stakeholder in the current Government is as a result of the kind of politics I play. My kind of politics is one that has the interest of the masses at heart. There’s something we call input and output in Government. You have to respond to the yearnings of the people. And I want to state unequivocally that whatever you get in politics as output is a result of your input.

Meanwhile, earlier, he described the Local Government election as peaceful, as he expressed delight over the massive turnouts of electorates, during the exercise, while urging the incoming Chairmen on the need to reciprocate the kind gesture as demonstrated by the electorates.
