Prince Innocent Eleogu Foundation Hails Aguocha’s Landmark Bills for Ikwuano’s Transformation
“Prince Innocent Eleogu Care Foundation commends Hon. Obi Aguocha for sponsoring landmark bills establishing Ikwuano North and South LGAs and a Federal Medical Centre in Ikwuano, Abia State—ushering in a new era of grassroots governance and healthcare transformation.”
The Prince Innocent Eleogu Care Foundation (PIECF) has applauded Hon. Obi Aguocha, member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, for what it described as his “visionary and people-centered leadership” following the passage of two historic bills that will reshape Ikwuano and Abia State’s development landscape.
In a press release e-signed by the Foundation’s President, Prince Innocent Iroabuchi Eleogu, and made available to Famous Reporters today, November 1, 2025, PIECF expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Aguocha for his unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of the constituency.
According to the statement, “The passage of the bill to create Ikwuano North and South Local Government Areas in Abia State is a significant step towards strengthening grassroots governance and decentralizing power to the local level.”
The Foundation noted that the initiative would “bring governance closer to the people, enhance administrative efficiency, and stimulate economic growth across our communities.”
In addition to the creation of new LGAs, the statement also highlighted the approval of a second bill — the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Ikwuano. PIECF described this as “a revolutionary milestone that will transform healthcare delivery in the region, provide access to quality medical services, create employment opportunities, and serve as a training hub for health professionals.”
Prince Eleogu further stated that these legislative efforts would “promote social inclusion, effective representation, and balanced development in our region,” while calling on residents of Ikwuano to support and pray for Hon. Aguocha as the bills advance through further legislative processes.
