APC Screening: Mark Ugorji Vows Transparent Representation for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal
The APC screening exercise for aspirants ahead of the forthcoming elections in Abia State has continued to generate reactions.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the screening, Ugorji reassured party members and constituents of his commitment to credible leadership, inclusive representation and effective delivery of democratic dividends.”

He stated that all original academic credentials were presented successfully and promised transparent, inclusive and result-oriented representation if elected into the House of Representatives.”
Estate Surveyor Mark Ugorji, an aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State, has described the party’s screening exercise as smooth, peaceful and interactive.
Speaking with journalists, shortf after the screening exercise over the weekend, at the party secretariat, Ugorji said the process was not difficult, stressing that aspirants were only required to present the original copies of their credentials for verification.
According to him, “The APC screening exercise done today was not a big deal. It was a convivial and interactive session. We were asked to present the original copies of our credentials, which I successfully did.”
He further stated that the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South are already familiar with his academic qualifications and public records.
“The people know that I fulfilled all the academic requirements presented to the party,” he added.
Ugorji also used the opportunity to outline his leadership philosophy and vision for the constituency. He described himself as a pragmatic leader who believes in realistic promises rather than political rhetoric.
“I am not someone who believes in rhetorical embellishments just to gain people’s trust. I only promise what is feasible and viable,” he said.
The APC aspirant emphasized his desire to establish what he described as a “social contract” with the people of the constituency.
According to him, his administration would ensure that constituents are adequately carried along in the distribution of democratic dividends and opportunities connected to representation at the National Assembly.
“I want to enter into a social contract with the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South. Our people must benefit from the commonwealth accruable from the National Assembly, alongside my personal efforts and networking,” Ugorji stated.
Furthermore, he urged constituents to consider the pedigree, antecedents and track records of candidates before making electoral decisions.
“We must not forget the importance of an individual’s pedigree and antecedents in choosing who represents us in the Federal House of Representatives. I have a proven track record as a goal-getter. I am target-driven and result-oriented,” he added.
He also pledged to expose constituents to the numerous benefits and opportunities that come with effective representation in the National Assembly.
Ugorji concluded by calling on the people, especially residents of Umuahia South, to support his aspiration, insisting that his candidacy represents the best choice for effective and people-oriented representation.
