PeterLabour Party 2023: Ariaria International Market Traders Hold Rally For Peter Obi, Alex Otti, Others
All roads led to Aba, the commercial bane of Abia State on
Wednesday, 22 June, as various Market Traders’ Associations in Ariaria International Market unanimously reiterated their unalloyed support for the presidential candidate of Labour Party, (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, in the 2023 general election.
The teaming traders also harped support for the governorship candidate of the party in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, as well as Hon. Ihenyinna Mggeahuru, the party’s flag bearer for Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency, and other candidates of the party.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, Dr. (Elder) Nwaigburu advocated for a united, strong and roboust movement of all visionary and goal-oriented people to chart the course of the political ambition of Mr Peter Obi, Dr. Alex Otti and all other candidates of the Party at various levels.
He urged the people to vote the Labor Party without any form of discrimination and assured them of “victory at last”.
In his remarks, Hon. Nkem Okoro, charged the people to embrace good governance and roboust blue print, adding, “which our Principal is bringing on board and work whole-heartedly towards achieving our goal.”a
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Structure in Ariaria Intl Market, Hon. Sunday Michael pledged the unalloyed loyalty and support of his members to the Mainstream Structure and Struggle, and promised that his team will do the political evangelism with the required energy, seriousness, honesty and responsibility to ensure they deliver on their mandate.
In his vote of thanks, Hon. Ihenyinna Mgbeahuru, who was a
former Executive Chairman of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, expressed gratitude to the crowd for their massive support to the party at the national, while also commending their zeal for the emancipation Abia State in all facets of life.
He who prided in the caliber of persons rooting support for the party, enjoined the traders and all members of the party to remain strong and resolute in carrying out their businesses and political activities without fear of intimidation, whatsoever.
“I urge you all to remain strong and courageous in going about your businesses and political activities without any fear of intimidation or harassment”, he said.

Conversely, the State Officer, Dr. Onyegbule who administered the oath of office on the EXCO, with a charge to be vibrant and dedicated to the course which “you have today been commissioned; to be fishers of men.
“You must ensure you contribute your own quota in the struggle for the libration of Abia State from darkness, underdevelopment and various abuses”, he advised.
Meanwhile, attendance at the epoch making event were political bigwigs from across the states, among who were; Hon Kingsley Chibueze Nwaokocha, the Candidate for Osisioma Ngwa South State Constituency of the Labour Party; the LG Secretary/Co-ordinator for Abia Arise (Osisioma Ngwa Chapter), Hon Chris Chidi Agu;
Others were; a member of the State working Committee and State Officer of Abia Arise, Chief Sir G.O.C Kanu(JP), a political stalwart, Chief Engr Uche Job Iwehee among other notable political gladiators from Osisioma Ngwa Land.
Moreso, attendance from the State Office of Abia Arise were; Dr.Onyegbule, the State Co-ordinator, Hon. Nkem Okoro, Elder Dr. Nwaigburu, The Co-ordinator for Umunneato Ngwa of Abia Arise among other key Officers from the State Office.
