ISO-SEC Honours DSS Boss with Distinguished Security Service Award
The Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Alhaji YM Bichi, has been honoured with the Distinguished Security Service Award of the International Security Organisation (ISO-SEC).
According to reports at the disposal of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), the Nigeria’s chief spy received the award on Thursday during the organisation’s elaborate International Conference held at the Marriott Hotel, Zurich, Switzerland, with the theme, Threats to Security: A Global Perspective.
Speaking while presenting the award to Bichi, who was represented at the occasion by the Service’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Peter Afunanya, the Organisation’s President, Dr Nikolas Fokianos, said the award is in recognition of Bichi’s “excellent leadership of the primary domestic intelligence Agency of Nigeria and the recorded successes against emerging internal threats in the country”.
In his response, Afunanya appreciated the Organisers for considering Bichi for the award, saying that the DSS Boss is “deserving of the accolade more so that the DSS under him has accomplished many feats and will continue to ensure the effective discharge of its mandate without let or hindrance.”
