Imo Govt Seals Hotel, Mortuary After Shocking Discovery of Mutilated Corpses, Suspected Organ Harvesting

“Imo State Government has sealed a hotel and mortuary in Ngor-Okpala after authorities discovered decomposing and mutilated corpses, sparking allegations of kidnapping and organ harvesting. Police have declared the suspected owner wanted as investigations intensify.”

The Imo State Government has sealed a hotel and a private mortuary in Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area following disturbing allegations of kidnapping and suspected human organ harvesting linked to the facilities.

The enforcement action took place after an inspection conducted by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Chioma Egu; the Chief Pathologist of the Imo State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibeaja Okechukwu; and the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, where decomposing and mutilated corpses were reportedly discovered.

According to a statement issued on Saturday night by the Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, the operation was triggered by “credible intelligence” allegedly linking the facilities to a suspect, Mr. Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, who is now on the run.

The inspection team also included officials of the state government, members of the Ngor-Okpala Vigilante Group led by Mr. Henry Ikpe, and the Chairman of Ngor-Okpala LGA, Hon. Mrs. Chika Ibekwe.

Investigations were carried out at suspected criminal hideouts around Umuhu Autonomous Community in Ngor-Okpala, situated along the Owerri–Aba Expressway. During the operation, both the hotel and the private mortuary allegedly owned by the wanted suspect were thoroughly searched.

Authorities reported that several decomposed and mutilated bodies were discovered at the mortuary in what they described as “grossly unhygienic conditions.” The discovery raised strong suspicion of possible illegal organ-harvesting operations.

Following the findings, the Imo State Government ordered the immediate closure and sealing of the hotel and mortuary. A search of the suspect’s residence reportedly led to the recovery of “important exhibits,” though details were not disclosed.

Forensic experts were said to have documented and secured evidence from the scene, while the Commissioner of Police assured the public that all individuals connected to the alleged crimes would be tracked down and prosecuted.

The police have declared Stanley Morocco Oparaugo wanted and urged anyone with useful information on his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.
