According to the publication, Jimoh recounted the tragedy in a video released by the TV on Monday, August 24, 2026. She said she, her husband and their four children had initially eaten the meal together without any immediate incident.

However, the family ate the leftover food again the following day after it was reheated.

Shortly after the second meal, tragedy struck.

According to the grieving mother, all four children died. The family dog, which had also eaten the food, reportedly died as well.

«“I was the one who cooked. After eating, my four children and our dog died,” Jimoh said.»

Family Rushed to Hospital

Following the incident, the family was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment.

Jimoh said she developed severe stomach pain after arriving at the hospital. A nurse reportedly administered an injection, which helped to ease the pain.

Her husband was also treated and was said to be in stable condition.
