APC’s Ikenna Ukwa Vows to Restore Power in Arochukwu/Ohafia After Credible Primaries

“Power will return to Arochukwu and Ohafia.” Those were the bold words of APC candidate Chief Ikenna Ukwa as he celebrated a peaceful primary election and promised rapid development for the constituency.”

Chief Ikenna Ukwa, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has expressed joy and gratitude following what he described as a successful, peaceful, and transparent democratic process. He also pledged to prioritise development and restore electricity to communities across Arochukwu and Ohafia if elected.

Speaking shortly after participating in the party’s presidential primaries on Saturday, Ukwa commended the state leadership of the APC for ensuring a credible and orderly exercise.

“I am elated. It was a difficult process, but we followed the democratic process,” he said.
“I want to thank the state leadership for ensuring a free and fair election.”

Addressing questions regarding his plans for the people of Arochukwu and Ohafia Federal Constituency, Ukwa stressed the urgent need to improve welfare, infrastructure, and electricity supply in the area.

“The first thing I have promised my people is that I will make sure that power is restored to the great people of Arochukwu and Ohafia,” he stated.

Commenting further on the presidential primaries, the APC chieftain described the exercise as impressive, citing the massive turnout of party supporters across Ohafia Local Government Area.

“This is the seventh ward I am visiting today, and the turnout has been massive and encouraging,” he said.

“The President has done a fantastic job in the last three years, and I believe he deserves one more term.”

Ukwa added that the enthusiasm displayed by APC supporters reflected growing confidence ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We have come out in numbers to support Mr President, and this is proof that we have the numbers to win the election,” he declared.

The APC candidate also expressed appreciation to supporters and political stakeholders across the constituency for their encouragement and support during the exercise.

“I want to say thank you to the people of Ohafia, Abiriba, and Arochukwu,” he said.

Continuing, he said: “I also thank the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the President, and my local government chairman, Steve Stanley Ojoba, for ensuring a free and fair process.”

Meanwhile, the APC Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area, Chief Steve Stanley Ojoba, described the election as peaceful, transparent, and credible.

According to him, the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu motivated the party faithful to troop out massively in support of his re-election bid.

“We plan to give Mr President a 100 percent vote from the state, and Arochukwu/Ohafia has ensured that happens,” Ojoba stated.
“We are very confident that the President will win his re-election bid in 2027.”
