The Returning Officer for the State Assembly primary election announced the result in the late hours of Thursday, officially declaring Mgbeahuru winner of the APC primary for the constituency.

Speaking in an exclusive interview shortly after his victory, the former Chairman of Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Council expressed gratitude to party members and supporters, describing his emergence as expected due to his years of commitment and service to the party.

“I feel good. It was expected because I have paid my dues and I am ready to serve my people,” Mgbeahuru stated.

According to him, Osisioma Ngwa North has suffered from ineffective representation at the Abia State House of Assembly for years. However, he assured constituents that the narrative would change from 2027.

“For some time now, Osisioma Ngwa North has not been heard in the House of Assembly. We have had poor representation, but to the glory of God, by 2027 our people will be heard again,” he added.

Speaking further with optimism about the forthcoming elections, Mgbeahuru expressed confidence that both he and the APC would record victory in 2027.

While appreciating the state and national leadership of the APC for what he described as a successful exercise, Mgbeahuru appealed to his co-contestants to embrace peace and reconciliation in the interest of the party.

“I want to thank the party for a job well done. They have done nobly. To my brothers who contested with me, I appeal to them to see this as a family affair. We will reconcile and move forward together. That is the spirit of sportsmanship,” he concluded.
