This week’s episode of How to Get Away With Murder dropped some huge bombshells and innuendos in the last 30 seconds, as usual. Fans think that the Game of Thrones references between Annalise (Viola Davis) and Tegan Price (Amirah Vann) are related to that massive twist at the end.

‘How to Get Away With Murder’ Season 6, Episode 12 dropped a massive twist

In the last minutes of the episode, Gabriel’s mother, Vivian (Marsha Stephanie Blake), shows up to Annalise’s penthouse. She offers information about the FBI case against Annalise. Then she implies that there is something Annalise does not know about her dead husband, Sam Keating (Tom Verica), and his relationship with his sister, Hannah (Marcia Gay Harden).

Annalise is unimpressed by Vivian blaming Sam’s sister, Hannah, for starting the war against her. The attorney knows that Hannah always hated her — this isn’t news.

“Do you know why she hates you? So, you don’t know?” Vivian presses. “What happened with her and Sam?”

This comment seems to pique Annalise’s interest, though. In the scenes from next week’s episode, we see the two sit down together to talk about what happened. Then Annalise angrily throws Vivian out of her penthouse suite.

Many fans feel that Vivian is implying that Sam and Hannah had a romantic incestuous relationship together. Others added that the bomb that Vivian drops is that the couple had a child together — who might turn out to be Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber).

“I say we go in quick and dirty,” Tegan told Annalise before her hearing. “We ask for the one additional location, and you don’t seem greedy.”

“But I am greedy,” Annalise counters.

“I am calling this shot,” Tegan persists. “We are early in this battle. You don’t bust out your dragon until you get to King’s Landing and are prepared to sack the Red Keep.”

Annalise is baffled by Tegan’s chatter about King’s Landing. She evidently has not seen Game of Thrones. Fans did not miss the reference though. They know that Tegan is acting as Annalise’s Khaleesi.

Later in the episode, Annalise catches on a little bit and tells Tegan it’s time to “let the dragon out.”

Are the ‘How to Get Away With Murder’ producers paralleling ‘Game of Thrones’ purposely?

Game of Thrones fans love the reference. However, a few feel that it goes deeper than that. After viewers insist that Hannah and Sam Keating had an incestuous relationship, a more in-depth theory emerged.

“Now that I have heard this theory and the number of Game of Thrones references in the last episode, it may be a stretch, but Hannah and Sam’s connection is similar to that between Jaime and Cersei.”

Jamie and Cersei Lannister were brother and sister in Game of Thrones; however, they also were romantically involved. The couple had three children together; so many fans feel it is clear that Hannah and Sam parallel that relationship.

The missing piece is that Hannah and Sam had a child together. Fans think we will hear that news when How to Get Away With Murder returns on April 30, 2020, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
