Hon. Uko Nkole Promises More Projects For Constituency

The Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency has reassured his people of his unflinching commitment towards the discharge of his legislative duties in spite of the COVID-19 Pandemic.img 20200418 wa00342201026351282726015img 20200418 wa00393700976514049566388Rt. Uko Nkole made this statement when he, as usual  had an interactive session with the youth leaders of the various 26 villages in Ohafia, yesterday, at his country home in Ozu Abam  Arochukwu LGA, stressing that his administration is committed towards ensuring that more meaningful projects are attracted in the area.

Rt. Hon. Nkole,  thanked the community youth leaders  led by Mr. Akanu Okey Kalu, youth chairman of Isiugwu Ohafia and Vice chairman of the forum who stood in for the bereaved National Chairman of the Ohafia Youths association
for their prayers, efforts and supports during and after the 2019 general elections which resulted in his resounding victory, hence his re-election at the House of Representatives.

Moreso, he expressed immense joy over their condolence message, describing it as a demonstration of their love for him and his family.

“I feel a great joy having you around today to sympathize with my family. Having you here is indeed a demonstration of your love for me and my family and I thank everyone of you”, he said.
He used the medium to reiterate his  preparedness towards complementing the efforts of the Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu by making available relief packages for the vulnerable in the area, as well as other measures that His Excellency Governor Ikpeazu had  embarked  to ensure Abia is safe and free from the spread of the Coronavirus.

Speaking earlier, on behalf of other youth leaders, Mr. Akanu Okey Kalu thanked the me for keeping to my campaign promises of vision “one village, one project and for keeping to your words of donating motorcycles in batches to youth leaders for the smooth running of their office and pleaded that I shouldn’t  relent in my efforts to  reaching out  to other communities that are yet to benefit to my vision one village one project, with remaining few community youth leaders that are yet to get their motorbikes.”
In his words: “Our Honorable sir, we are here to once again  interact with you as we always do   and you are the only political office holder in Arochukwu /Ohafia that has always been open and accessible to all and we are delighted to always to interface with you. We extol your accommodating spirit and open door policy which is unprecedented”, he said, as they unanimously reassured him of their continuous supports and loyalty.

Akanu pointed out that Rt. Hon. Nkole had remained the best House Member they had  since the history of representation in the constinuecy began, saying, “Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole has remained the best so far and we are comfortable supporting him in any future aspirations”, he pledged, as he expressed profound gratitude to Nkole for alleviating hardship among members of their various communities during the extant lockdown.

“We have also come to thank you for extending palliatives to our respective communities which were delivered through our community traditional rulers led by His Paramountcy, Ezeogo Prof. Imaga”, he added.

Amidst regrets, Akanu condoled with the House Member over the demise of his father, Late Chief Emmanuel Nkole Ndukwe who died at the age of 79 after a brief illness especially that the news of death was broken to me when we were also having interaction/receiving their usual Christmas gifts from me on the fateful evening of  24th December 2019 in my country home .

He described the Octogenarian as a fine gentleman whose financial intellectualism and banking experience would be greatly missed by Abia and Nigeria in general, particularly the Central Bank of Nigeria where he worked diligently and retired meritoriously as a Senior Management Staff.

He, however, prayed to God to grimg 20200418 wa0046538388863533843680ant his soul a peaceful rest in His bosom and “give the family the courage to bear the loss.”

Highlight of the visit was the distribution of bags of rice, cartons of indomie sanitizers hand wash soap and PPE to the youth leaders by Rt. Hon. Nkole as part of his palliative measures to cushion the effects of the lockdown occasioned by the covid-19 pandemic on the respective youth leaders and their immediate families .
