GOMEP-NG President Otiti Celebrates Sister’s Colourful Traditional Wedding in Delta

Delta State – The National President of the Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria (GOMEP-NG), Akpovoke Otiti, has celebrated the traditional marriage of his sister in a grand ceremony held in Arhavwarien, Delta State.

The ceremony, which attracted relatives, friends, community members and associates from within and outside the state, was marked by vibrant cultural displays, traditional rites and expressions of happiness in line with cherished Urhobo marriage customs.

Otiti played a significant role during the ceremony as he formally represented the family and gave his sister’s hand in marriage, an important tradition that symbolises family acceptance and blessings for the couple’s new journey.

Speaking during the celebration, the GOMEP-NG President expressed gratitude to God for the success of the occasion. He described marriage as a “sacred institution” that requires love, patience, understanding and mutual respect between couples.

He also offered prayers for the newly wedded couple, wishing them a peaceful, prosperous and fulfilling union filled with happiness, stability and divine favour.

Meanwhile, guests at the event were entertained with traditional music, cultural dances and a colourful reception that showcased the rich heritage of the Arhavwarien community.
