‘It’s a different competition’
Wolves v Espanyol (20:00 GMT)

Wolves
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo on opponents Espanyol, who are currently bottom of La Liga:
“The table doesn’t mean anything, it’s a different competition and we’re going to face a very tough opponent with quality players.
“Abelardo [Fernandez] is a good manager. I know him, I’ve faced him before and it’s going to be very tough for us.
“Espanyol is a very good team. There are differences in the competitions, but I’m not a 100% follower of La Liga now. We’ve worked really hard on Espanyol to find the details that we think our players need to do a good game and compete well.”
Molineux is buzzing
Wolves v Espanyol (20:00 GMT)

Simon Stone
BBC Sport at Molineux
We have just had the normal pre-match light show, then a rendition of ‘High Ho, Wolverhampton’.
A flag is being pulled across the South Bank – fair to say this place is going to be bouncing when the game kicks off.
Results from elsewhere…
It’s finished 2-0 to Getafe, who were at home to Ajax. Inter Milan also won 2-0 against Ludogorets, Romelu Lukaku came on as a late substitute to score a 95th-minute penalty. Christian Eriksen had scored the opener.
CFR Cluj drew 1-1 with Sevilla, Eintracht Frankfurt thrashed Red bull Salzburg 4-1, Sporting Lisbon beat Istanbul Basaksehir 3-1 and Shaktar Donetsk held on to secure a 2-1 win over Benfica.
Post update

Kayleigh Millen: Three disappointing results in largely underwhelming games for English teams in Europe so far this week. As a neutral, I’d love to see some goals. Come on Wolves and Arsenal- smash in some goals…please!
‘We have this atmosphere’
Wolves v Espanyol (20:00 GMT)

Wolves
Nuno Espirito Santo hopes the atmosphere at Molineux will inspire his team to victory over Espanyol.
It’s been a long run for Wolves, who began their Europa League qualifying campaign back in July.
“The group stages, all the games were a full house,” he said.
“We want to have this atmosphere at Molineux, our fans helping us, creating a fantastic atmosphere.”

Wolves v Espanyol (20:00 GMT)

Simon Stone
BBC Sport at Molineux
VAR makes its Europa League bow this evening.
An announcement has just been played over the tannoy to say it will be used to ‘assist’ the referee.
It will be interesting to see how it is used compared to the Premier League, where the guys in Stockley Park tend to tell the referee what decisions to give.
Post update
Right, straight over to Greece and Molineux as Wolves and Arsenal are kicking off very shortly.

SMS Message: Whatever the result tonight it is a good week for Anthony Martial. He’s had to step up with the absence of Rashford. Martial is good but still isn’t great. You are never sure what you are going to get out of him before each match but his two goals this week have been vital for the fight for top 4 (or 5?) and for the Europa League. from Jamie Davies

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a
sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I
had to tell someone!

I do not even know the way I finished up right here, but
I thought this put up was great. I don’t recognize who you’re but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger for those who are not already.
Cheers!
Hi there, just became alert to your blog through Google, and found that it is truly informative.
I am going to watch out for brussels. I will be grateful if you continue this in future.
A lot of people will be benefited from your writing.
Cheers!
My spouse and I stumbled over here from a different web page and thought I
might as well check things out. I like what
I see so now i am following you. Look forward to exploring your web page again.
I didn’t see it coming at all, but the moment I started helping
a friend inside a major sports organization, everything
I thought I knew about modern sports completely collapsed.
I always believed teams were about winning games, but when I saw
how the entire industry had turned into this massive digital economy, I honestly felt overwhelmed.
What hit me hardest was realizing that cybercriminals weren’t going after “IT servers” anymore.
They were attacking everything — betting infrastructures.
One breach, and millions could be lost instantly.
And the scariest part?
I saw it with my own eyes.
One day, during a routine check, someone mentioned how a manipulated data feed caused chaos in betting markets.
That was the moment I understood how thin the line really is between order and total digital disaster.
But the real shock came when I looked deeper
into betting platforms.
I swear, I always thought they were just websites.
But no.
They are insane real-time data engines. One tiny manipulation can shift odds
globally or make entire markets react like they’re on fire.
When I learned how seriously regulated environments handle security — especially the kind you see described in official breakdowns — it opened my
eyes. If anyone wants to understand how this level of protection actually works, they can always look it
up directly from the source. The full explanations are there,
and they’re honestly worth reading.
Inside the clubs, it was even more surreal.
I saw databases full of tactical plans — things that could ruin a season if leaked.
And yet the biggest weakness wasn’t the firewalls.
It was the people.
One emotional click, one careless moment, and the whole system can fall apart.
I watched entire staff units go through security training because phishing had become a daily threat.
Compliance teams were everywhere too — checking access, reviewing logs, forcing documentation. I used to think compliance was boring, but now I
understand that without it, the entire digital side of sports would melt into
chaos.
And the future… that’s another story.
AI detection, automated response systems, cloud architectures — it felt like watching the digital version of an arms race.
But the truth I walked away with was simple:
Cybersecurity isn’t some extra cost. It’s the
only thing holding this whole world together.
And honestly, after everything I saw, I can say the system I was reviewing really did an exceptional job.
They handled their mission far better than I expected.
If anyone wants to dig deeper or understand how these structures really work, I’d definitely suggest getting more information directly from
the source. It’s all publicly explained — and believe
me, once you read it, you’ll never look at sports
or betting the same way again.
It’s actually a great and useful piece of information. I am satisfied that you simply shared
this helpful information with us. Please stay us informed like this.
Thank you for sharing.
