    Wolves v Espanyol (20:00 GMT)

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo on opponents Espanyol, who are currently bottom of La Liga:

“The table doesn’t mean anything, it’s a different competition and we’re going to face a very tough opponent with quality players.

“Abelardo [Fernandez] is a good manager. I know him, I’ve faced him before and it’s going to be very tough for us.

“Espanyol is a very good team. There are differences in the competitions, but I’m not a 100% follower of La Liga now. We’ve worked really hard on Espanyol to find the details that we think our players need to do a good game and compete well.”

Kayleigh Millen: Three disappointing results in largely underwhelming games for English teams in Europe so far this week. As a neutral, I’d love to see some goals. Come on Wolves and Arsenal- smash in some goals…please!

  8. ‘We have this atmosphere’

    Wolves v Espanyol (20:00 GMT)

    Wolves

Nuno Espirito Santo hopes the atmosphere at Molineux will inspire his team to victory over Espanyol.

It’s been a long run for Wolves, who began their Europa League qualifying campaign back in July.

“The group stages, all the games were a full house,” he said.

“We want to have this atmosphere at Molineux, our fans helping us, creating a fantastic atmosphere.”

    Simon Stone

    BBC Sport at Molineux

VAR makes its Europa League bow this evening.

An announcement has just been played over the tannoy to say it will be used to ‘assist’ the referee.

It will be interesting to see how it is used compared to the Premier League, where the guys in Stockley Park tend to tell the referee what decisions to give.

  10. Post update

Right, straight over to Greece and Molineux as Wolves and Arsenal are kicking off very shortly.

SMS Message: Whatever the result tonight it is a good week for Anthony Martial. He’s had to step up with the absence of Rashford. Martial is good but still isn’t great. You are never sure what you are going to get out of him before each match but his two goals this week have been vital for the fight for top 4 (or 5?) and for the Europa League. from Jamie Davies
