The member representing Ikwuano State Constituency, Hon stanley Nwabuisi has, amidst heartfelt pains, demanded for equity, fairness and justice for Ikwuano people, following the recent approval of the award of 19 road construction projects accross the state in which Ikwuano was wrongfully not included.
The illustrious son of Ikwuano LGA who moved this motion of urgent public importance, on the floor of the House of Assembly regretted that the State Executive Council had  not considered the great people of Ikwuano in the approval and award of road projects, during the last meeting of the Exco, held on June 22, 2020 at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Umuahia.img 20200707 wa0015475361738517275094Without mincing words, Hon. Nwabuisi implored the house to intervene in order to review the process with the aim of including Ikwuano in the distribution of projects and development of the state government.Furthermore, he demanded that the Commissioners of Works and Finance to appear before the House to explain the criteria used and the source of funding for these projects.Meanwhile, the motion, as gathered, after hearing was moved to be continued the next day on the floor of the house as the Honorable member had insisted that his people must be considered and given their pride of place in the process of allocation, division and distribution of the dividends of democracy.Earlier, FamousReporters gathered that the news of the review by the State Executive Council (EXCO), which reportedly was in a bid to further improve the road infrastructure in the state had left the good people of Ikwuano and other well meaning Abians in utter wonderment, as they argue the actual place of Ikwuano in the state. It is, therefore, crystal clear that Ikwuano local area was deliberately omitted.
