How Teenage Boys Allegedly Gang-Raped 16-Year-Old Girl in Delta Hotel, Mocked Her Over Menstruation
A teenager’s visit to a hotel in Delta State allegedly turned into a traumatic ordeal after she was sexually assaulted and recorded by two boys she had reportedly been introduced to through a friend.
A 16-year-old girl has alleged that two teenage boys sexually assaulted and recorded her at a hotel in Delta State after she was lured there by a friend.
A disturbing incident in Delta State has sparked concern after a 16-year-old girl alleged that she was sexually assaulted by two teenage boys at a hotel in Ughelli.
The teenager said she was lured to the hotel by a friend identified as Nice Money, who allegedly told her that someone would provide her transport fare to the location.
She made the allegation while recounting her experience during an interview with the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, following the detention of one of the suspects identified as Godstime.
According to the girl, she arrived at the hotel and met two boys, Goodluck and Godstime, who she said later assaulted her and recorded the incident on their mobile phones.
She alleged that the situation became violent after she informed the boys that she was menstruating.
“My friend, Nice Money, asked me to visit him in a hotel, but I told him I didn’t have transport fare, and he said someone would pay for the fare when I arrived.
“When I got into the hotel, I saw two extra boys, and when I told Nice Money that I met the boys at the hotel, he told me he was coming,” she said.
The teenager alleged that an argument later broke out before one of the boys slapped her and ordered her to undress.
“As we were arguing, one of them slapped me and ordered me to undress, so I removed my clothes, and they raped me and later recorded me with their phones,” she alleged.
She further claimed that the boys demanded additional sexual acts before they would delete the video.
“I begged them to delete the video, but they said they would have sex with me again before they could delete it,” she alleged.
The teenager also alleged that Goodluck and Godstime sexually assaulted her multiple times while knowing that she was menstruating.
She said she eventually managed to escape from the hotel after the suspects fell asleep.
Video of alleged incident circulates online
The case came to public attention after a video allegedly showing the suspects mocking the teenager over her menstrual period circulated on social media.
Confirming the development in a statement accompanied by a video on X, Edafe said one of the main suspects involved in recording the footage had been taken into custody.
Speaking after his detention, Godstime admitted that he participated in the sexual assault and acknowledged that he was the person speaking in the circulating video.
“I was the one speaking in the video, and we recorded it because we were angry when she told us she was on her period,” he said.
Godstime also said he had been communicating with the girl on WhatsApp before she came to the hotel.
However, he disputed the teenager’s account of how many times she was sexually assaulted, claiming that he and Goodluck had sex with her twice.
“When the girl came to the hotel, Goodluck and I had sex with her, but we only did it twice,” he said.
Godstime also admitted that he is involved in internet fraud.
Police vow prosecution
Commenting on the case, Edafe said the suspect would face prosecution in accordance with the law.
“He is with us, and he is going to go in for it because the law says from seven years and above, whatever you do, you will go in for it,” the police spokesperson said.
The case has raised fresh concerns about the safety of minors, sexual violence and the misuse of mobile phones to record and circulate intimate abuse.
