How Angry Hippopotamus Killed Emir Of Yauri’s Guard

There is currently a rising chaos in Kebbi State following the unfortunate killing of Mallam Usman Maigadi, a guard by a
mother Hippopotamus, in an attempt to protect her baby.

The guard was serving at an orchard owned by the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi.

The horrific incident was confirmed by the Chairman of Yauri Local Government, Alhaji Abubakar Shu’aibu, as well as the Kebbi State Government.

According to reports, the mother Hippopotamus was suspected to have acted in her bid to shield the pygmy hippopotamus from the guard who perhaps was perceived by the former as a threat, resulting in the misfortunate attack .

Meanwhile, in a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the former, Nasir Idris commiserated with the Yauri Emirate and the family of the deceased.
