OSUN — The Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria (GOMEP-NG) has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the state’s gubernatorial election, describing the outcome as a renewed mandate from the people.
In a joint statement signed by the National President of GOMEP-NG, Comrade Akpovoke Otiti, and the National Secretary, Prince Clinton Uba, the guild said Adeleke’s victory represented a significant triumph for the people of Osun State.
GOMEP-NG also commended the people of Osun for what it described as their steadfast commitment to democratic governance and for exercising their civic rights despite what the guild called “political conspiracies” and intense opposition during the electoral process.
The guild further congratulated members of the Adeleke family, acknowledging their resilience and commitment throughout the election.
According to GOMEP-NG, the confidence placed in Governor Adeleke by the electorate was reflected in the outcome of the poll and showed that many voters remained committed to his leadership and development agenda.
The media body urged Adeleke to regard the victory not only as an electoral success but also as a renewed responsibility to unite the people of Osun State and deepen development across the state.
“Governor Adeleke’s victory is a renewed mandate and a call to greater service. The people have spoken, and their confidence must now be rewarded with inclusive governance, peace and sustainable development,” the guild said.
GOMEP-NG also called on political parties, candidates, supporters and other stakeholders to accept the outcome of the election and put the contest behind them.
It urged all stakeholders to work together in the interest of peace, good governance and the continued development of Osun State.
