2023: You Must Apologise To Ndigbo, Omokri Blasts Kwakwanso

… Says nobody is a bottom feeder

A former aide to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri has reprimanded a former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for alleging that Ndigbo are at the bottom line when it comes to politics.

This is following a call from Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former Minister of Defence is the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), which urged Ndigbo to support his party, thus allowing Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party be his running mate.

Kwakwanso had stated that the Igbos are merely good at doing business but they are at the bottom line when it comes to politics.

Reacting to Kwankwaso’s disdainful statement about the Southeast and people of Igbo origin, Reno Omokri stated on his verified Facebook page that he hopes the former Kano State Governor reconsiders his statement and apologizes to the people of the Southeast geopolitical zone of the country.

Omokri insisted that the equality of every Nigerian citizen, noting that “no one is a bottom feeder”.

He said Kwankwaso referring to the Igbos as being at the bottom line in politics is rather unfortunate.

Omokri wrote:

“The statement credited to Rabiu Kwakwanso was not well thought out. I respect Kwakwanso but not to use such adjective to describe the Southeast, and people of Igbo origin, is rather unfortunate. I truly hope he considers his statement and issues an apology. We are all Nigerians, nobody is a bottom feeder.”
