Information Engineer, Lover Found Dead Inside Car In Lagos
Pandemonium struck on Sunday’s night, in Jakande
Estate, Oke-Afa, Isolo area of Lagos, as two lovers were found dead inside a Highlander SUV.
The man, an information technology engineer identified simply as Koyejo, was found in his nude while the lady, whose identity could not be immediately ascertained was half naked.
Suspecting it could have been stolen, some youths were said to have flashed a torchlight inside the SUV with tinted glass, only to discover the bodies.
“We were told he went to pick his girlfriend at Isolo on Saturday night. They went to Moshalashi bus stop to buy suya and took some bottles of alcoholic drinks.”
Late Koyejo’s body was already peeling.
He was found in a sitting position with his trouser and shirt laid on the space between the driver and passenger’s seat. The lady on her part was found lying on her face, with blood dripping from her nose.
When an acquaintance of late Koyejo put a call to his widow, who was unaware of the calamity, she informed that she had not been able to reach her husband since Saturday’s night.
The lovers were believe to have died while making love in the Toyota Highlander SUV ,with registration number: EPE 666 GE as the man was fully naked while the female had her trousers stripped down to the knee level.
Similarly, a resident who was also a witness, Maduka Augustine, said the residents didn’t know the time the vehicle was parked, but that they became suspicious the way it was not properly parked and decided to check inside the vehicle,” what we saw baffled us and too bizarre . The vehicles windows were all wind up, but we saw two people inside it and we raised the alarm which attracted people. We started knocking on the SUV, but the two occupants were motionless.
“We wanted to force the doors Open, but people warned against it, so we decided to report to the police. The police came and forced the door open. Well, some people believed that the lovers might have died of a Yoruba traditional charm(Magu), prepared by husbands against their cheating wives. What else would have killed them if not magu, becat there was no mark of violence on their bodies and they were naked, meaning that they were making love. The woman was wearing her wedding ring”.
Meanwhile, Policemen from Ejigbo division drove the SUV with bodies of the lovers to the Isolo General Hospital morgue, at 10.20 p.m., where they deposited their remains.
