WHO IS AFRAID OF OBI AGUOCHA??
I do not have time to enjoin issues with faceless journalism, such as this article that has no writer associated with it. If the editorial board of the NEWSMEDAL ONLINE SERVICE chooses to lend themselves to lies and outright depravity, then it is a shame in this era where we need journalism to be strong, vibrant and forthright.
Joining in the collective effort of all well-meaning Nigerians to enthrone transparent and accountable leadership aimed at changing our national direction and narrative. My singular focus and campaign remains, delivering for my constituents, fighting for their uplifting and general wellbeing.
I do not give any time of the day to such depravity and distraction from the camp of my opponent, theCthe Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji all because he simply lost a Court case aimed at disqualifying my person from contesting the election and brazenly seeking to deny the Ohuhu nation and people their right and turn to the Federal House of Representatives. As you can see, this is their level, and that is all he can afford to offer the good people of Ikwuano-Umuahia Federal Constituency.
My plans are clear and unambiguous, and they include, in the shortest possible time when sworn in as the next Member of the House of Representatives, to:
1.) Postpone the eminent removal of fuel subsidy indefinitely until a palliative plan is put in place to cushion the severe effects on the economy, prices and the populace,
2.) Ensure local government restructuring and devolution of powers, especially, the direct funding of local governments,
3.) To ensure adequate funding for our universities and other tertiary institutions, instituting a policy of commercializing creativity, innovation and inventions, improve Research and Development (R&D) opportunities. This will robustly create wealth, SME’s will spring up from such ventures creating the digital economy and jobs required by Peter Obi to move Nigeria forward,
5.) To ensure that adequate priority is giving to the full rehabilitation and construction of the following roads: Umuokpara Ring Road, Eziama Ubakala Road, Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene Road (already ongoing by Hon. Sam Onuigbo), Ohuhu Old Okpara Road Agbama Village Road and Azueke Ibeku Road among others,
5.) To ensure the rehabilitation of the Ibere, Ulona North and Ulona South farm settlement reserve areas with functional agricultural storage and process facilities,
6.) To split the current Ikwuano local government area into two new distinct local governments, to be known as Ikwuano North and Ikwuano South respectively, and
7.) To help the incoming, President Peter Obi’s Government to push for positive and progressive legislation aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians.
Finally, Chinedum Orji is at his lowest ebb and desperate. Let Chinedum Orji be bold enough to face me directly through the open ballot rather than through faceless proxies. He should be assuredly advised, ndị Ohuhu and indeed, ndị Abia will win this election despite his several attempts at intimidation, cheap blackmail and outright petulance.
When, Chinedum Orji goes low, we go high.
