Uruakpa Felicitates With Onochie, Dimgba Over NDDC Appointment

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Sterling Chinwe Uruakpa has congratulated Lauretta Ifeanyi Onochie and Chief Eruba Dimgba on their appointments as the Substantive Board Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission and the Abia State Representative on the Board, respectively.

This is even as the Senate had, confirmed the appointment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media, Lauretta Ifeanyi Onochie, as Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Among twelve other nominees who were also confirmed by the Senate, was a proud son of Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, Chief Dimgba.

Reacting amidst ecstasy, to the confirmation by the Senate, Uruakpa described the duo of Onochie and Dimgba as ‘square pegs in square holes’, as he prayed for the divine wisdom to enable them pilot efficiently, the affairs of the Commission.

In his congratulatory message, Uruakpa wrote:

“It is is with a heart filled with great joy and happiness that I sincerely write to congratulate these prominent son and daughter of Igbo land, Mrs. Lauretta feanyi Onochie and my brother, Chief Eruba Dimgba on their recent appointment as the substantive Board Chairman of the Niger Delta development Commission(NDDC), and Abia State Board Representative, respectively.

“Indeed, it is a meritorious appointment and though it was not anticipated, yet it did not come to many of us as a surprise because they have displayed beyond doubts, unreserved commitment to the growth and development of our party and the country in general.

“Saying that you both deserve the position is an understatement, because you have withheld absolutely nothing in your quest for the betterment of our country, Nigeria and the All progressives Congress, (APC). You have at different points proven your loyalty to the party and your dedication, I must say is unmaginable.

Continuing, he said: “Mrs. Onochie has been a patriotic citizen who has over time sought for the development of this nation. Also, my Elder brother, Chief Dimgba, a renowned philanthropist, has not only impacted positively on the lives of many persons but also attracted meaningful projects in his immediate Community, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, in his bid to bring development to the area.

“I, therefore, pray for the divine wisdom of God Almighty to rest upon you, to enable you drive effectively the affairs of the Commission. Once again, congratulations!!”, He wrote.

Meanwhile, he used the medium to appeal to them to ensure that the Commission is driven to greater heights, saying, ‘to whom is given, much is expected’.

Moreso, in his euphoric mood, the illustrious son of Asa, had described the appointment of Eruba as apt and divinely orchestrated, pointing out that the elevation was not anticipated but was in line with the will of God Almighty.
