Ugboaja’s Legacies Shall Endure, Says Rep. Onuigbo

Saddled with a painful demise of Barr. K.C Ugboaja, a prominent son of Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, the member representing Ikwuano /Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency, has described death as an inevitable phenomenon that must take its toll on every man.

 

Onuigbo stated this during his condolence visit to the family of the fallen hero and a great son of Ikwuano, whose demise, he lamented had left a deep sense of loss in the hearts of those who loved him.

 

 

The Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Abia Central Senatorial District, likened the death of the former Executive Chairman of the local government to the ‘Fall of an Iroko Tree’.

 

Famousreporters.com recalls that the shocking death of K.C Ugboaja which occurred on Friday, July 9, 2022, following a protracted illness which regrettably defied all medical treatments, threw the people of Ikwuano and Abia in general, into a melancholic state.

 

 

Rep. Onuigbo described Late Hon. K.C Ugboaja as a good friend, a defender of the voiceless, and a fighter for the good of the people, while eulogizing for his legacies, which he pointed out would endure ‘the Sand of Time’, saying his death has created a vacuum in the area.

 

Expressing his grief, Onuigbo said: “It is so sad that he died so young, and his death is a huge loss, not just to this community, but to the people of Ikwuano, Abia State, and the entire Nigeria. I have come today to pay my respects to him, and to condole with his family, and by extension the entire Ariam Usaka clan and Ikwuano Local Government Area, on behalf of myself, my family and the good people of great Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South whom I represent at the House of Representatives, Abuja,” he mourned.

Odozio-Obodo noted that “loved ones are never truly gone, but live on in the memories of those who loved them”, as he promised to continue working with Late Hon. Ugboaja’s family to ensure that he is never forgotten.

Moreso, the people oriented leader urged the family to find a place in their hearts to bear “this huge and irreplaceable loss.”

In his response, the head of the family, Elder Andrew Agbakwo Ikpeka received Rep. Onuigbo and his condolence delegation with many thanks.

 

He stated that “while death is a path that all men will tread, the untimely nature of Hon. Ugboaja’s death is saddening”

 

Ikpeka expressed gratitude to the Legislator for sharing with them in their grief, while also expressing happiness for the support being shown to their family during their extant sad moments.

Corroborating in his vote of thanks, Elder Ikechukwu Owoebe thanked Rep. Onuigbo for grieving with them, as well as his support to the family, which according to him, is a proof of the love he has for Late Hon. K.C Ugboaja, his family and the people of Ariam Usaka”.

 

He, therefore, prayed that God would continually bless the Lawmaker in all of his life endeavours.

Meanwhile, among those who present at the condolence visit were; Evang. Abraham Osondu-Chief Liaison Officer; Chief Sam Eke PhD; Prince Henry Elogu-Former, TC Chairman, Ikwuano L.G.A.

 

Others were Elder Engr Ikechukwu Orji-PG Ihim Community; Chief Mrs. Ego Nwamuo-Former Education Secretary; Mr. Chukwuemeka Uchegbu; Dr Fidelis Imeremba, Mrs Glory Ikeanya; Mr. George Offor; Mr. Chinkata Ajuzie; Mr. Franklin Ugboaja.
