Timileyin Ajayi: Latest news on gospel musician caught with girlfriend’s head
Men of the Nigeria Police have provided more information about Timileyin Ajayi, the gospel musician who was arrested for allegedly murdering and beheading his girlfriend, Salome Eleojo.
The shocking incident occurred in Nasarawa state, the Northern region of Nigeria.
According to reports, security operatives apprehended the gospel singer at an uncompleted building in Agwan Sarki, Orozo in Nasarawa State, near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, where the severed head was found in a polythene bag.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the suspect’s apprehension but clarified that the crime occurred in Nasarawa State, not within the FCT as speculated by some media outfits.
Adeh urged the public to ensure accurate dissemination of reports surrounding the incident, emphasizing the importance of proper information to avoid misrepresentation.
Ajayi, who is also alleged to be a ‘Yahoo boy,’ was arrested after a tip-off led authorities to an uncompleted building where the crime took place. Community members, shocked by the incident, shared a viral video of the confrontation in which the suspect admitted to the act.
The case has stirred widespread outrage, with residents calling for swift justice.

He is called Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, An Abuja based gospel artist. He beheaded his girlfriend. He is a native of Kabba, in Kogi State.
