In a statement he issued in Umuahia on Wednesday, Ogwo stated that candidates are not required to make any form of payment to qualify for the award “as there are no hidden charges”.
The statement reads in part: “This is to inform the public that the ongoing Prof Gregory Ibe scholarship award to deserving students in Abia state is purely a FREE philanthropic gesture by the Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu Prof Gregory Ibe.
“For the avoidance of doubt candidates are NOT required to make any form of payment to qualify for the award as there are no hidden charges.
