Our Armed Bandits disguised as soldiers who came to rescue us… Student reveals

A student of Bethel Baptist High School who escaped through a hair’s breath from the abduction saga has revealed the pranks played by the abductors of the student.

In an interview with Berekete Family, the survivor of the Bethel Baptist High School kidnapping has disclosed shocking details about how armed bandits orchestrated a sophisticated deception by posing as military personnel during the abduction of multiple students.

In this interview, Salama Shaibu provided a detailed account of the night that changed numerous lives.

According to the traumatized student, the bandits, who were beautifully decorated in authentic military uniforms, stormed the school’s dormitory under the guise of protecting students from an alleged imminent kidnapping threat.

Shaibu described how the imposters maintained their military facade by issuing commands that aligned with standard security protocols.

Speaking further, she lamented that the Kidnappers in their Military camping had instructed students to change their clothes and surrender all mobile devices, alleging that .wnthese measures were necessary for their protection. The authenticity of their uniforms and their methodical approach left no room for suspicion among the students.

The deceptive operation exposed a calculated strategy employed by criminal groups targeting educational institutions. The bandits’ thorough understanding of military procedures and their ability to replicate official conduct demonstrated the evolving tactics used in school abductions across Northern Nigeria.

Shaibu emphasized that the only detail that eventually exposed their true identity was their distinct manner of speech, which deviated from typical military communication patterns. This crucial observation came too late, as the students had already been led away from the safety of their dormitory.
