The National Coordinator of New Era Foundation (NEF), a non profit making organisation, Pst. Mike Nwaka has enjoined members of the organisation to imbibe the spirit of sacrificial giving thus making it their daily lifestyle.
Pst. Nwaka who is also the General Overseer of Loyal Soldiers of Christ Church, gave this charge shortly after the National Convention of NEF, held at Ndoro Oboro, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, saying it opens up doors of blessings.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Famous Reporters, Nwaka described the convention as an indication that New Era had commenced full operation, hence reaching out to the poor and destitute.
He enjoined members to endeavour to give to the poor and needy from the little they own, adding that no one should wait until they have it in overflow.
“Everybody has to be a giver. This is a kind of service that nobody forces you to render; we all are happy rendering this humanitarian service to people within our reach especially those we know we are better than So, I encourage everyone to give no matter how little, because God started by giving for us to receive and a giver never lacks.
The National Coordinator described the Foundation as “one of the families that you must love to belong to; it’s all about humanitarian services. Here in our Foundation, if you come across anyone who has one challenge or the other, we must have pity on the individual and we must render a humanitarian service to the individual.
According to him, the benevolent deeds of the Foundation are being noised abroad as both indigenes and non-indigenes have been impacted positively by the organisation.
“In Ikwuano, people have been saying good things about the Foundation because we have helped a lot of people through the Foundation. So, the testimonies are innumerable.
“So, the responses we receive from people are very wonderful which is why you have this number of people rushing into the Foundation.
For instance, on the day of the convention, we had a lot of people from different places who trooped into the Foundation for registration because of the testimonies we are getting. So, people are rushing in from far and near to become part of the Foundation.
However, he outlined that membership registration had been on hold but assured that admission into the Foundation would be reopened, as he appealed to all intending members to wait patiently, assuring that they would be all integrated into the system.
Speaking, he said: “We encourage everyone to wait patiently as the embargo will be lifted soon. We stopped registration for some time but we’ll kickstart it.”
He, therefore, assured all intending new members to embrace the opportunity to render humanitarian services, pointing out that “as you are even doing the work, God will be lifting you up.”
Furthermore, the National Coordinator applauded the Founder and President of NEF , Mayor Osinachi Nwaka or his countless magnanimous deeds towards humanity, saying he has eradicated poverty from many individuals and has over time, restrained anyone from ‘blowing his trumpet’.
“Mayor Osinachi Nwaka is one man who has in the years past, rescued many people both old and young from abject poverty and he does this joyously and noiselessly.
I want to use this opportunity to plead with our youths to emulate this rare character of the Mayor of Ikwuano.
Meanwhile, Famous Reporters reports that Mayor Nwaka had been fully involved in Charity work over the years and prior to time the mantle of leadership of Ikwuano fell upon him.
It is, therefore, no news that Nwaka’s poverty alleviation movement is not driven by his position as a Mayor rather his unreserved heartbeat for Ikwuano and for humanity in general.
