BREAKING! Pandemonium, As Robbers Invade Adekoya in Igboelerin, Lagos

A daring daylight robbery occurred on Friday, August 9, 2024, at approximately 3:00 pm on Adekoya Street in Igboelerin, Lagos.

According to eyewitnesses, a group of armed robbers stormed the street, breaking into homes and shops, and carted away with valuables such as phones, generators, foodstuffs, and cash.

In a harrowing incident, a 15-year-old girl who was purchasing snacks at a local shop was confronted by the robbers, who pointed a gun at her head and demanded her phone. The robbers also stole an undisclosed amount of money from the shop.

Thanks to the quick thinking of a young lady who raised the alarm, the robbers were momentarily distracted, allowing some residents to take cover. However, the robbers still managed to escape with their loots.

The terrific incident has left residents of Adekoya horrified, as they expressed intense worries about their safety. Local authorities have been notified, and an investigation is underway.

Victims amidst emotions have appealed with sympathisers and those who might be with useful information to avail them such, in order to enable them apprehend the yet to be identified hoodlums.

Residents have, therefore, been urged to always remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities promptly.

Meanwhile, all efforts to reach the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command were futile as at the time of filing this report.
