NEW ERA FOUNDATION: Emulate Nwaka, Umuahia North LP youth leader, Iroanya charges Mayors
The Umuahia North Local Government Area youth leader of Labour Party (LP), Comrd. Christopher Iroanya and Council’s Coordinator of New Era Foundation (NEF), has reiterated that
Mayor Osinachi Nwaka’s emergence as the Mayor of Ikwuano LGA has gradually begun to break the jinx.
He explained that Mayor Nwaka had embarked on a mission of changing the narrative through NEF, his brainchild, and would leave no stone unturned in enhancing the living standards of the people through youth empowerments, scholarship programmes, among others.
Iroanya, without mincing words, described Nwaka as a politician with a difference, bent on restoring the lost long hope of the masses.
Speaking during an interface with Famousreporters.com, the Labour Party (LP) youth leader of Umuahia North Local Government, Comrd. Christopher Iroanya, stressed that, Nwaka whom he further described as a people-oriented leader, through his Non Governmental Organisation had, in no doubt, adhered strictly to the rescue mission agenda of the present administration of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, Ofr, the Executive Governor of the State.
The youth leader lauded the Mayor for extending his beneficence to his people of Umuahia North, hence, the official inauguration of the Umuahia North chapter of the nonprofit making organisation.
He lauded Mayor Nwaka for deeming it necessary to include the people of Umuahia North into the Foundation, saying it is in his bid to make them feel a deep sense of belonging and at the same time, become part of his enviable administration, in his bid to drive home the Labour Party’s campaign slogan hence ‘Weep no more; Help has come ‘.
Asked what he knew about the organisation whose sole aim is to eliminate poverty from humanity, he outlined that the essence of the Foundation was to administer selfless service(s) to humanity.
“Just like the slogan goes: ‘New Era Foundation’, we respond ‘Service to humanity ‘. We all know what it means for someone to render services to humanity. This Foundation is geared towards serving the people with your resources and time. It’s all about carrying people along and lifting people from ‘grass to grace’ and that’s what the President of NEF represents.”
He acknowledged the Mayor of Ikwuano as the youngest of all, describing him as a rare gift to humanity, noting that: “despite being the youngest among all other Mayors, he is doing a great thing even before he emerged as a Mayor.
Continuing, he said: “he has helped a lot of people at the grassroots and has made many millionaires. Mayor Nwaka has also helped many of our youths travel abroad in their quest for greener pastures.”
He, therefore, implored other Mayors in the State to emulate the exemplary lifestyle of Nwaka in order to make the world a better and safer place.
