Consumed with the zeal to give yield to modalities and strategies on how to effectively tackle the traffic issues of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, the Mayor Of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda JP says his office will partner the Federal Road Safety Corp, (FRSC).

Sir Allwell Ihunda spoke today, Tuesday, when the Rivers State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp, (FRSC) Corps Commander, Salisu Umar Galadunci paid him a courtesy call in his office.

In a release made available to famousreporters.com by the Chief Press Secretary, (CPS), Mr.  Bob Abayomi, Sir Allwell Ihunda promised to partner men of Road Safety in order to work out modalities on how to address traffic issues in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.

Also, he reiterated his unalloyed support for the Command towards
overcoming the challenges facing them in the discharge of their duties.

Hear him: “We cannot continue to tolerate the proliferation of illegal motor parks and road side mechanics,we will work closely with you to ensure we either eradicate this menace completely or reduce it to it’s barest minimum.

Meanwhile, the Council Boss urged officers of the Command to launch a campaign aimed at ensuring that residents adhere to driving protocols, adding, “so as to get to their destinations safely and sound especially during this ember months”, he advised.

Earlier in his speech, Corps Commander Salisu Umar Galadunci who explained that his familiarization visit to work out modalities for partnership between the command under his watch and the Local Government council, congratulated Sir Ihunda on his inauguration as Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.

He said: “In my one year of service in Rivers State, I can comfortably say the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is one of the best Governor’s in Nigeria, and in terms of partnership with Road Safety, I hope the Mayor will tow the line of the Governor.”
