Mark Ugorji Wins APC Primary for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency

“Excitement erupted across the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency as APC chieftain, ESV. Mark Ugorji emerged victorious in the party’s primary election, raising fresh hopes for political transformation and renewed representation ahead of the general elections.”

“Mark Ugorji has emerged winner of the APC primary election for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency after defeating his opponent across the 32 wards of the constituency. He described his victory as a new chapter for the people and the party.”

Mark Ugorji has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency seat.

Ugorji secured victory after reportedly defeating his opponents across the 32 wards that make up the federal constituency, thereby emerging as the party’s flagbearer for the forthcoming 2027 election.

Speaking during with members of the media shortly after the exercise, Ugorji expressed gratitude to party members and supporters for their confidence in his candidacy.

He noted that his emergence as the APC candidate would usher in a new phase of development and political transformation within the constituency.

According to him, his victory is victory for the party, and represents “a new beginning” and renewed hope for the people, while also strengthening the APC’s presence across the constituency.

Furthermore, he assured constituents of inclusive representation, effective leadership, and people-oriented programmes if elected into office.

The APC primary election was reportedly monitored by party stakeholders in some parts of the constituency and supporters across the constituency, with Ugorji victory generating reactions from party loyalists and political observers.
