Late COAS Lt. Gen Lagbaja Commences, As Body Departs Lagos To Abuja
The body of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja has arrived at the Nigerian Airforce wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.
The body which was received by soldiers of the Guards Brigade who are set to pay their last respects to Lt. General Lagbaja, arrived at exactly 9 am.
The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja lying in state in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
NAOSNP can reports that the burial ceremony for the immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen TA Lagbaja commenced today after which he will be interred at the National Military Cemetary Abuja.
The ceremony were attended by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, GOC 81 Division, Maj Gen FU Mijinyawa, Corps Commander Engineers FOC, Maj Gen PO Eromosele, AOC, Mr. Adedotun Keshinro, NSCDC Lagos Commandant, Oba of Lagos ably represented by the White Cap Chiefs among other dignitaries.
