Joe Igbokwe, Poor Student Of Igbo Political History- Ohanaeze Youths Council thunders
…Says Ndigbo Are Products of National Politic in Nigeria
The apex youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide–the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has described Jeo Igbokwe as a political prodigal son of Ahmed Bola Tinubu who is deficient in the political history of the Igbo nation.
This is following the recent vituperative words by Jeo Igbokwe against Ndigbo during his TV program on Arise TV wherein he accused Ndigbo of involvement in ethnic politics.
Speaking with press men in Abuja, today, November 10, the Council’s President, Comrd. Igboayaka O Igboayaka stated blankly that Joe Igbokwe had lost the history memory line of Nigeria politics, adding, “by his laziness to pay attention in secondary school subject known as ‘Government’.
“There’s no student in Nigeria, present and in the past that can accuse Ndigbo of engaging in ethnic politics, except one person in Nigeria like Joe Igbokwe who could not open his ‘Government text book’ during his secondary school days.”
Continuing, he recalled that, “NCNC one of the most popular parties in Africa and in Nigeria was a Brain Child of Igbo political guru known as Dr. Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe (Zik of Afrika). But, unfortunately, Joe Igbokwe in a hast to satisfy Bola Tinubu lost touch of memory that NCNC was Pan-African party and a Nigeria party that spread across Nigeria; a foremost national party built with Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe”.
Igboayaka without mincing words compelled Joe Igbokwe to “pick back history book and Secondary school Government text book and study the role of Dr. Alex Ekwueme in building NPN, who was the vice president in NPN in such a national party.
“Yet even in 1982 when Ndigbo was in Centre party of NPN, Dr. Samuel Mbakwe won in Imo State with PPA. If another party wins Anambra guber election, it’s the same scenario in I982 when Dr. Alex Ekwueme became the Vice President of Nigeria in NPN, and Dr. Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe won Imo Governor with PPA in the same Igbo land”, he explained.
According to the knowledgeable Igbo youth leader, the G-34 that metamorphosed into People Democratic Party(PDP), was a vision of Dr. Alex Ekwueme.
Adding, he said: “And PDP won the Presidential election in 1999 with all the Governors’ seat except Lagos state. Even though virtually 70% of PDP was founded by Igbos yet for national unity to accommodate Yorubas on what happened to MKO Abiola in 1992, the party’s Presidential ticket was given to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and PDP won in all the states in Southeast.
“In 2013/2014, political party merger, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the current Minister of Science and Technology led his cream of political loyalist in Igbo land and across Nigeria and formed All Progress Congress(APC). The APC merge that brought President Mohammadu Buhari into power was also the effort of Sen. Rochas Okorocha who led his political bloc from Igbo land and across Nigeria and formed APC.
“Joe Igbokwe, a patient of mouth- diarrhea, and as the worst student of political History in Nigeria forgot that Gov. Chibuike Amaechi the current Minister of Transport and one of the smart Igbo Politicians from Ubima, River State led New PDP and formed APC.”
Comrade Igboayaka argued that the chronicle of history had defined Ndigbo as those that abhor ethnic politics, but he regretted that Joe Igbokwe’s political inefficiency coupled with his desperate quest for survival had blinded his mind from realising glaring truths.
“Joe Igbokwe’s political inefficiency and hunger to survive in the apple baskets of Ahmed Bola Tinubu wouldn’t let him know that history of Igbo nationalistic socio-political approach in Nigeria politics can’t be covered with his lies and propaganda.
“It’s in history that in 2015, even other three state in Southeast was in the party of centre (PDP) yet Gov. Rochas Okorocha won the 2015 guber election in Imo State with newly formed APC while Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi won with PDP.”
Furthermore, Igboayaka described as illogical, unreasonable and political predilection “for Joe Igbokwe to use Anambra guber election to attack whole Igbo race, because he wants to project Bola Tinubu for president.
“Joe Igbokwe must realize with political history, Igbos like to vote with conscience especially on credibility, and come 2023 with Southeast, APC president candidate, APC will massively win all the polling Unit in Igboland and across Nigeria States.
“Therefore, Joe Igbokwe’s Arise TV outing is a deliberate lie characterized with hate just to find a way to victimize the Nigeria president of Southeast extraction which all reasonable Nigerians are yearning for as a political antidote that will unify Nigeria and seal all ethnic cracks and fractures”, Igboayaka concluded.
