A suspected cultist Wasiu Akinwande, has made a terrific confession, leaving authorities dazed.
The suspect, popularly known as Olori Eso, said he had committed a staggering number of murders, stating he had “killed too many to remember them all.”
He made this chilling confession to a team of homicide detectives from the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba. Akinwande was arrested by detectives from the Lagos State Police Command on June 20, 2025.
Police investigators were reportedly chilled by the cult member’s nonchalant demeanor and lack of remorse during his confession.

The police have confirmed that the suspect is believed to be a high-ranking member of a notorious cult group known for its brutal tactics and ritualistic killings in Mushin and its adjoining suburbs.
The group’s activities have been linked to a string of mysterious disappearances and gruesome murders in the region.
INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
As the investigation unfolds, the state Commissioner of Police, Olorunda Jimoh, revealed that the command was working to corroborate the suspect’s claims and identify other potential victims.
This shocking confession has sparked widespread outrage and concern, with many calling for swift justice and increased efforts to combat cult-related violence.
The Lagos State Police boss provided details on some of the killings traced to the suspect, stating that further investigation confirmed some murders linked to Akinwande include the killing of Bolakale, aged 30, who was tracked down and murdered on July 31, 2024, around 11:28 pm in the Mushin area.
“One Ramadan (male), aged 23, was also murdered by the suspect on July 31, 2024, at the same address and time,” Jimoh revealed.
Jimoh added, “He also murdered one Aminat (female), aged 9, on December 9, 2010, at Fadeyi area.
“Numerous other casualties have also been linked to the suspect’s brutal operations, details of which are being compiled during the ongoing investigations and will be made public,” he further stated.
“The suspect has voluntarily confessed to the serial killings and admitted possession of the recovered nine automatic and lethal firearms. Additional witnesses are still being expected. The suspect is currently in police custody, and all recovered exhibits remain in the command. A remand warrant has been duly obtained from a competent court to enable the police conclude the investigation and ensure due legal process,” Jimoh concluded.
