ABDUCTION OF THREE SIBLINGS: Ikwuano Mayor, Nwaka Condemns Act, Deploys Security To Rescue Victims

Following the recent abduction of three school children (boys) from Amaba [Amaoba] village, a popular community in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, the Mayor of the Council, Mayor Osinachi Nwaka has called on all relevant security agencies in the area to expedite action in saving the lives of victims and returning them safely to their parents.

Mayor Nwaka, who is also the President of New Era Foundation, a non governmental organisation aimed at eradicating poverty from among the people of Ikwuano gave this charge shortly after the incident.

Expressing his deep grief over the abduction of the three siblings, in a release made available to Famousreporters.com, Nwaka, regretted that the children were reportedly abducted while returning home from school in Amaoba Ime Oboro, Ikwuano LGA, Abia State.

Nwaka, in a prompt response, mobilized all security agencies to initiate immediate efforts towards locating the missing children, while informing the general public tbat,
“the father of the abducted children, Mr. Osinachi Eluwa, can be reached at 07037113199 for any information or assistance”.

The release read in part:

“We implore all members of the community to exercise heightened vigilance and promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Your cooperation is pivotal in facilitating the safe recovery of these innocent children.

“Furthermore, we extend our heartfelt solidarity and support to the distressed family during this harrowing ordeal. We urge anyone with pertinent information to come forward and assist law enforcement agencies. Eyewitnesses or individuals possessing relevant details are encouraged to contact the nearest police station or utilize the following hotlines: 0803 427 0914, 0803 797 8707, 0806 259 8068.

“As a community, let us rally together in solidarity and collective effort to ensure the safe return of Gideon, Divine, and Israel Osinachi. Our thoughts and prayers remain steadfastly with the affected family as we fervently anticipate their joyful reunion. May justice be served swiftly, and may the perpetrators be brought to account for their reprehensible actions.”

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the perpetrators had approached the trio of Gideon Osinachi [8yrs], Devine Osinachi [6yrs], Israel Osinachi [4yrs], as motor cyclists also known as ‘Okada Riders’ sent by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Osinachi Eluwa, to convey them back home from school, on May 10, 2023, at about 2.00pm Nigerian time

However, the suspected kidnapper ended up taking the unsuspecting, innocent children to some unknown destination, as their whereabouts are yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

In a related development, a concerned indigene of the community who posted the awful incident on Ikwuano Forum’s Facebook page lamented that the sudden disappearance of the three sons of a Mazi Osinachi had left the entire community in a deep state of melancholy, as he pleaded with all and sundry to run to their and secure their release.

The post which he captioned, ‘ABDUCTION OF OUR CHILDREN’ read partly:

“The entire Amaba community including their women are confused and agonized over the situation. Lamentations and dirge are heard all over the land. Assistance is needed by Ikwuano stakeholders and authorities and concerned individuals to ensure the liberation of these innocent victims.., and ensure judgement.
