*AS Ibere Youths Confer Ray of Hope Title On him
The President and Founder of New Era Foundation, (NEF), Evang. (Comrd.) Osinachi Nwaka has reiterated his relentless commitment to eradicating poverty from among the people of Ibere Clan, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, with focus on the youths.
Addressing the youths of Ibere Clan, in
Ikwuano LGA, Saturday, shortly after
members of National Ibere Youths Association, (NIYA), had conferred on him, the title of ‘Ray Of Hope For Ibere Youths’, at Ngwugwo Ibere, the renowned philanthropist enjoined the youths of Ibere and Ikwuano in general, to endeavour to eschew ranchor, alcoholism, drug addiction and all manners of social vices.
Ossy Nwaka advised the youths to rather live a life that would outlive their generation, while appealing to him to, as much as they possibly could, exist harmoniously and tranquilly with one another.
Nwaka, who could not dissemble his detest for poverty, assured the youths of his willingness and zeal to ameliorate their living condition, insisting that the youths can only benefit from his overwhelming benevolence if they are of good conduct and are visible to those in authority in their various Communities.
“Let me assure the youths of Ibere that I will not let you down. All you need to do is to be of good behaviour (conduct). Once you are of good conduct, bring whatever that is bothering you. I know in not Jesus Christ but, if I don’t solve all, I know I’ll solve 50%.
Continuing, he said: “Like I said, I hate poverty with passion and anywhere I see it, I’ll just pull it out. Just be of good behaviour. Make sure that the PG of your village knows you; make sure that the king of your village knows you; make sure that the President of youths knows you; make sure that the important persons from Ibere clan knows you. Then, leave the rest for me
Presenting the award of excellence to Nwaka, who with profound gratitude, pointed out that “reward for great work is more work”, the President -General Ibere Clan Development Union Federated, Elder Chief Uzuegbu, Mezie
commended the former for his outstanding impacts on the people of Ikwuano, hence the formation of New Era Foundation.
Speaking, Uzuegbu said:
“We have seen something special in you; we want to reinforce the good behaviour in you. So, my advice is that you hold firmly that which you already have. This is an award of excellence presented to you, Comrd. Ossy Nwaka, as the ‘Ray Of Hope For Ibere Youths’, and I, on behalf of the entire people of Ibere want to thank you immensely.
“I also urge you not to relent in your landmark achievements for your people, bearing in mind that posterity must be kind to you, my son”. He concluded.
Meanwhile, Famousreporters Correspondent who witnessed the ceremony, was a an intriguing sight at Ngwugwo Ibere, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, as the entire youths of Ibere community, in a grandstyle, received their son, (Evang.) Comrd. Osinachi Nwaka, the President and Founder of New Era Foundation, (NEF). The grand reception was in recognition of the massive feats the vibrant Ikwuano son had, without words, achieved for the people.
The self-starter who was a former Bank Manager of the famous Access Bank, Lagos branch has described poverty as his worst enemy and consequently has over the years, been fighting vigorously to eradicate the ailment from among his Ikwuano people.
Attendance at the award conferment ceremony were Hon. Boniface Isienyi, to member representing Ikwuano State Constituency, Pastor Mike Nwaka, the Coordinator of New Era Foundation, Deacon Kennedy Nwaka, members of NEF, among others.
Meanwhile, the newly inaugurated non governmental organisation, NEF, has been been floated by the ebullient son of Ikwuano to serve as an authentic medium through which he could ameliorate the suffering of the members of his immediate community, the entire Ikwuano Council, as well as the State in general.
This, he has reiterated is in his quest to serve as a helper to the Labour Party government under Dr. Alex Otti in his extant war against hunger and famine.
