How My Pastor Overpowered Me and Took Advantage of Me — Victim Alleges

“An Edo-based church founder has been arrested over allegations of sexual abuse involving two sisters who were minors at the time. Investigations are ongoing.”

The founder of Rollo Life of Christ Brethren Ministry, Bishop Gideon Osagie Osazee, has been arrested in Benin City, Edo State, over allegations of sexual abuse involving two biological sisters.

According to The Sun, the cleric was arrested by officials of the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs following several days of surveillance, which culminated in an ambush operation to apprehend him.

The victims alleged that the incidents occurred when they were minors, aged 13 and 17 respectively.

One of the sisters, now 21 years old, told authorities that the alleged abuse occurred while she was asleep, accusing the pastor of having sexual intercourse with her without her consent.

“I woke up and saw that it was my pastor. That was how he took advantage of me; he overpowered me,” she said.

She further alleged that the cleric later announced to the church that he would conduct a midnight deliverance service for her.

“That night, he made me swear an oath not to reveal what happened. He said any man who had sex with me would be stuck spiritually because he had a ‘monitoring mirror’,” she alleged.

The younger sister also accused Bishop Osazee of sexually abusing her when she was 13 years old.

Reacting to the allegations, Bishop Osazee denied the claims, stating that he was involved only with the elder sister. He claimed she told him she was 21 years old when their relationship began and insisted it was consensual.

He further stated that he bought her a ring with the intention of proposing marriage.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing as the case progresses.
