Fidelity Bank Targets Revenue Leakages with Digital Transparency Drive

“Fidelity Bank Plc will host a virtual webinar on March 24, 2026, focused on digital fiscal transparency, helping public institutions improve revenue collection, eliminate leakages, and strengthen accountability through innovative digital solutions.”

“In a bold move to tackle revenue leakages and restore public trust, Fidelity Bank Plc is set to convene top government officials, financial experts, and development partners for a high-impact webinar aimed at transforming how public institutions manage and monitor revenue in Nigeria.”

Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has announced plans to host a high-level virtual webinar designed to help public institutions strengthen revenue systems, enhance fiscal transparency, and deploy smarter digital frameworks for collections, oversight, and accountability.

The webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, is themed “Digital Fiscal Transparency: Unlocking Sub-national Opportunities for International Partners.” It will bring together a diverse group of public sector leaders, development institutions, heads of parastatals, and financial experts to explore practical solutions for improved public finance management.

Speaking ahead of the event, Richard Madiebo, Divisional Head, Public Sector at Fidelity Bank Plc, highlighted the urgency of adopting transparent and efficient systems.

“As public institutions seek ways to improve internally generated revenue and strengthen public trust, there has been a renewed focus on fiscal transparency. This is particularly important in the face of recent macro and microeconomic developments, with many public sector agencies under pressure to do more with limited resources,” he said.

Madiebo further explained that the initiative was designed to address systemic inefficiencies through technology-driven solutions.

“It is against this background that we have conceptualised this session, with a particular focus on how digital platforms can support structured invoicing, seamless collections, payment automation, contractor disbursement transparency, and real-time revenue oversight, amongst other key areas of revenue mobilization and administration in Nigeria,” he added.

The session is expected to deliver critical insights into how modern revenue infrastructure can drive efficiency, improve accountability, and support sustainable fiscal outcomes across sub-national entities.

Key issues to be addressed include persistent revenue leakages, fragmented collection channels, poor reconciliation processes, weak visibility into revenue performance, and the increasing demand for transparent, technology-driven governance systems.
Reaffirming the bank’s commitment, Madiebo stated:

“The webinar forms part of our commitment to provide practical solutions that support public sector transformation and stronger sub-national development. This aligns with Fidelity Bank’s mandate to help individuals grow, businesses thrive, and economies prosper.
