Over the years, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji), through his humanitarian platform — the Chima Anyaso Foundation — has become a beacon of hope to countless communities and underprivileged individuals. His unwavering commitment to education, youth empowerment, and social welfare has impacted thousands of lives across Nigeria.
Through the foundation, Dr. Anyaso has sponsored the education of numerous pupils and students, empowered youths through entrepreneurial training, and distributed food, relief materials, and financial aid to vulnerable communities, especially during times of crisis.
I often wonder what would have become of many families during the COVID-19 lockdown if not for the timely intervention of the Chima Anyaso Foundation. The food and relief materials provided by the foundation served as vital palliatives that prevented hunger, starvation, and despair among the people.
Whenever you see Dr. Chima Anyaso, the first thought that comes to mind is, “Joy is coming!” — because wherever he goes, he brings light, laughter, and hope. Known for his generosity and compassion, Dr. Anyaso takes immense joy in making others happy, finding fulfillment in the smiles and gratitude of those whose lives he touches.
What makes him even more admirable is his humility and genuine empathy. Despite his achievements and social standing, he listens attentively when people share their struggles, offering thoughtful solutions and tangible help. His compassion isn’t performative — it’s heartfelt and deeply rooted in his belief that life’s greatest purpose is to serve humanity.
As an empowerment strategist, Ofuji has mastered the art of lifting people — especially youths — from poverty to prosperity. His initiatives are not just about providing aid; they focus on creating self-reliant individuals who become employers of labour.
Every year, during his birthday celebrations, Dr. Anyaso chooses not to indulge in lavish parties. Instead, he visits orphanages, prisons, leprosy centers, and homes for the destitute, distributing food and relief materials. These gestures give hope to those society often overlooks, affirming their worth and dignity.
Many of these beneficiaries may never be able to repay his kindness — not even with their votes — but God, the ultimate rewarder, will surely reward him abundantly. As Proverbs 19:17 reminds us, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.”
Indeed, with Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, more joy is coming — not just for him, but for every life he continues to touch.
