“The APC and the government of Ebonyi State are working to create chaos and engender blood-letting in Ebonyi State haven seen the handwriting on the wall that the people of Ebonyi State are staunch in their support for the PDP.
“The APC thugs packed in two Sienna buses on Thursday night swooped on the home of Chief Ofoke armed with AK 47 and pump action rifles and ravaged the entire compound in a hail of gunshots leaving in their trail destruction and hundreds of expended bullets shells.”
He called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Director General of the Department of State Security Service (DSS), the National Security Adviser (NSA), and other security agencies to look into the matter and stop this malevolent plan to truncate the electoral process in Ebonyi State”
“The APC led government of Governor David Umahi has become jittery over their impending loss in the forthcoming elections and has now decided to use the instrument of violence to truncate the elections.
Idika also implored President Muhammadu Buhari to call Governor David Umahi to order and save democracy in Ebonyi State and Nigeria.
“The APC and Ebonyi State government should be reminded that self-preservation is an inherent right of everyone and no one has the monopoly of violence”
“The PDP is a peace-loving party, we believe in the right of the people to freely choose their leaders and we are ready to exercise our democratic rights without any fear of molestation in any form.” Idike said.
