ABIA CENTRAL 2023: “Rep. Onuigbo Has Been Good To Us, We Shan’t Betray Him”, ADWU, ATRIWA Exclaim *Drum Support
Abia State Drivers Welfare Union, (ADWU) has unanimous reiterated their unflinching support for the candidacy of Rep. Sam Onuigbo, candidate of All Progressives Congress, (APC), for Abia Central Senatorial District, in the forthcoming coming general election, slated for next week’s Saturday, February 25.
Speaking on behalf of members of the Union, today, at the Umuahia residence of Onuigbo, the State chairman, Abia State Drivers Welfare, Pastor Henry S. Okezie eulogised the latter, recounting on the various benefits the union has enjoyed from his effective representation since assumption of office in the Lower Chamber.
The Union, through its chairman, vowed never to betray Onuigbo, as they described him as a Technocrat and”not the regular politician we have everywhere”.
He assured Odozi-Obodo who is also the incumbent member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State of their unwavering commitment towards ensuring his victory at the polls, noting,”‘we have been supporting you before now and this time, we shall intensify in our efforts to ensure that you win in this election.”
Also, ADWU Boss who hails from Umuoho-Azueke commended the APC’s Senatorial candidate for Abia Central, from the quality of road being constructed on Ikwuano/Umuahia Ikot-Ekpene road, saying that his legacies will outlive his generation.
“Overtime, you have been good to us drivers and today, you have done more, in addition to the previous ones you already did. Today, we can now ply the road to Okwe, in Ikwuano LGA, without experiencing potholes. I also said this on the radio and we are very happy.
On the ongoing road rehabilitation in the area, he said: “We’re impressed with the thickness. Beginning from FMC down to Ikot-Ekpene junction and beyond, we have also seen your good deeds. And right now, you have donated Keke to our Union, we don’t take it for granted and we’ll not betray you.
“With this election, Umuahia and Abia State in general, will know that we have chosen you. And after your representation at the Senate, we shall by ourselves decide on what other position we have mapped out for you and do play the necessary role, our amiable leader. Your leadership is pleasant to us.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Famousreporters.com, ADWU boss described Onuigbo as a man who has the interest of the people at heart.
“Rep. Sam Onuigbo has done again, the way he has a doing, he has just donated two tricycles to Abia State drivers Welfare Union.
“This has inspired us to do more; whatever we know would enable him achieve his Senatorial ambition, we’ll offer that help. We are solidly behind him.
“And for those who say Odozi-Obodo hasn’t done anything, all I’ll tell them is, go and verify. They need to go and verify and if I happen to come in contact with them, I’ll gladly inform them that Honourable has been doing a lot.
“And today, we have endorsed Honourable Sam Onuigbo”, he assured.

We’re happy with all what Hon. Sam Onuigbo is doing. He has started a very good work since 2015, he has attracted and execution some road projects, one of which is the highly celebrated Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency. He has empowered so many of our youth.
“Today, he has donated tricycles to the Union.
“We are adopting him and we shall not betray him.
“He should be confident in us and be rest assured that we are solidly behind him. I have been his supporter since 2015 even though I hadn’t benefited.
Responding, with an aura of optimism, Odozi-Obodo who donated tricycles to the groups reassured that their bulk votes, as anticipated would not be taken for granted when he assumes office.
He restated that his effective representation policy would not be consigned to a position of obscurity, if elected, while assuring that they will enjoy all dividends of democracy, as it were.
