SouthEast Council of Traditional Rulers and Representatives of Igbo Archbishops and Bishops have unanimously urged the Court to affirm Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s fundamental rights, as well as the Counsels and other members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

This is contained in a release co-signed by the joint body and issued to the Media.

“Failure to do so would lend weight to the suspicion in some quarters of a planned secret Trial, as well as neutralise all efforts being made to establish peace in the SouthEast region.”

The joint body who commended Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and the entire leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB for adhering to their appeal thus annulling the one-week Sit-at-home order earlier announced by the group.
