Rev. Blessed Amalambu, the candidate of African Democratic Congress, ADC has reiterated that the ultimate, overarching objective of constituent engagement is to address the real-world challenges that constituents are facing and to have a tangible impact on their lives for the better.

Interacting with voters from Ihitte-Ofeme, Ohuhu clan in Abia State during a campaign tour, the African Democratic Congress, ADC candidate for Umuahia North State Constituency, Rev. Blessed Amalambu who observed the absence of House of Assembly Liaison office in the Constituency, vowed to be the first to run the most transparent, accountable, godly, accessible and honest Office in the history of House of Assembly representation in Ohuhu land.

He asserted that legislative solutions becomes better, more effective, and more sustainable when they are based on the input of the people they impact.

Rev. Amalambu who assured that if duly elected as a lawmaker that he will not only improve lives, but he will also introduce equity, honesty, accountability, and fairness in the distribution of dividends of democracy.

According to him, effective, meaningful constituent engagement should be built upon several core principles like accountability, inclusivity, responsiveness, transparency, accessibility and consistency.

Amalambu who pointed out that as a legislator, to craft sound policy is achievable, said, “Your engagement should be focused on gleaning these essential insights and bringing them back to the House for action”.

He maintained that a two-way communication with constituents remained important for identifying commonly occurring problems and systemic issues, and then, in turn, developing effective legislative fixes.

While also assuring that he will be the first House member in Ohuhu clan to do transparent youths and women empowerment that will void of sentiments and biased mind, Amalambu passionately appealed to them to vote for him to set things aright.

In their various speeches, Mr. Chibuzo Sampson Nwosu; Mrs Nneoma Chinweodo; Chairman Ihitte-Ofeme village; Mr. Obiarajianya Dike among others admitted that they have curiously listened to other House of Assembly candidates from the other political parties, “but we spotted sincerity in you”, in our assessments.

They lamented that their previous and present representatives visited them with empty promises but strongly believe that Amalambu will achieve greatness for Umuahia North State Constituency, if given the opportunity with their votes.

“We will try ADC, we will vote for you. Ihitte-Ofeme will give you the winning vote”, they assured.
