Adamawa Man Allegedly Kills Father, Dumps Body in Well

A quiet community in Adamawa has been thrown into shock after a 30-year-old man was arrested over the alleged killing of his biological father and the dumping of his body in a well. Police say the corpse has been recovered as investigators probe the circumstances surrounding the death.
Peter Sinamai, a 30-year-old man from Sangere Gombi LGA in Adamawa State, was arrested by the police over the alleged killing of his biological father and dumping of the body in a well. The corpse was recovered and deposited at a mortuary for autopsy, while the police continue their investigation.
ADAMAWA — A 30-year-old man, identified as Peter Sinamai, has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command over the alleged killing of his biological father and the dumping of his body in a well.
Sinamai, a resident of Sangere Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State, was arrested after a report was received by operatives of the police command.
According to the police, preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect allegedly killed his father before disposing of the body in a well within the community.

The development has raised concern in the community as police investigators work to establish what led to the alleged incident.
The corpse was subsequently recovered from the well and deposited at a mortuary for autopsy, the police said.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, has ordered a discreet and thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
Confirming the arrest, the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the suspect would be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.
The police said the investigation is expected to establish the full circumstances of the incident and determine the suspect’s level of involvement.
