AbiaDecides: We’ll create better travel experience for Abians, visitors… APC’s Emenike

The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, High Chief Ikechi Emenike has lamented that the presence of an International Airport in the State is long overdue.

Emenike stressed that the state, having existed longer than most of her sister-states such let Ebonyi, needs and deserves a befitting international to airport to facilitate movement of people and goods in and out of the State.

The APC’s candidate disclosed this when he interacted with the Media in his Umukabia country home, over the week, explaining that, the presence of an International Airport “will create better travel experience for Abians and visitors, and enhance the overall economic development of the State”.

He also added that the establishing an Airport in the State would in no doubts, provide huge employment opportunities for the teaming youths.

On Public Service Reform, Emenike pledged to ensure that the State Goverment works optimally for the citizens, while promising that his administration would establish an Abia State Statistical Agency (ASSA) under the State Planning Commission.

In his words: “The Abia Planning Commission shall be appropriately manned and retooled to be the engine room of economic development in the state.

Continuing, he said: “The era of groping in the dark shall be over once we are sworn in. We will establish an Abia State Statistical Agency (ASSA) under the State Planning Commission that will provide the facts and figures as the backbone for the State’s development”, he assured.
