A prominent Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abia State chapter, Sir Kenneth Maduakolam Adigibe, aka. Ijere has advised critics of the Member Respresenting Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency, Chief Sam Onuigbo, to refrain from speaking vituperatively against the Lawmaker.

The President of Ijere Foundation described politics as a continuous process, arguing that traditionally, incompleted projects usually are deferred to succeeding administrations.

Sir Adigibe, in a telephone conversation told FamousReporters that rather than using venomous words on the vibrant Legislator, the latter deserved some accolades and encouragement.

FamousReporters recalls that
Oloko Chapter of PDP had on January 25, during an interview with Ikwuano News accused the Lawmaker of abandoning a project in the area.

The chapter also accused the indefatigable Lawmaker of engaging in “a conscious manipulation to divert the effort of others and usurp an unqualified glory”.

However, the party chieftain who without mincing words, chided Onuigbo’s Critics, exonerated the Lawmaker from the alleged abandoned projects posed by Oloko PDP in Ikwuano.

On the alleged incompleted projects attracted by the Federal Lawmaker, Ijere said:

“Politics is a continuous process. I know he’ll try as much as possible as funds come in to complete every project. He’s not a kind of man who will abandon any project and wherever he stops, another person will continue. Joining APC is a good thing.”

He argued that the Lawmaker may not have been provided with funds for the said projects, hence the delay in delivering same.

He, therefore, urged Abians and Nigerians in general to imbibe the attribute of gratitude for whatever feat any individual achieves during service.

“You know the problem we have is not acknowledging what someone has done. If he had started a project and did not complete it, it might not be his fault. Maybe the funds have not been made available to him and once the money comes, he’ll complete it”, he assured.

The Umuahia North born philanthropist advised Onuigbo to remain resolute in his decision to make a change in the political narrative of his constituents.

“Onuigbo should not listen to side talk. He’s a man of his own at his level. Nobody advised him rather to leave the party rather he took the decision. So, he should stand on the decision, and then defend his decision.

He added that, “because in politics, if you continue listening to side-talks, you’ll derail, this decision he took, I believe at his level, he must have done some consultations.

“So, he has to stand by it and defend it so that at last, people will see why he joined APC and by then the end of it will be more joyful”, he assured.

Moreso, he reiterated that, “the only thing that is constant on the earth is change. If Onuigbo decides to change, it’s not bad. It’s a normal thing. I also believe that as a grown man who has garnered a lot of experience, joining APC will have a positive impact on the Constituency. And it will take the party to a new level.

Earlier, Ijere who prided in the strength of the party, said the party at the state level had received the Lawmaker with a warm embrace.

“Here in APC, we have opened our arms and we have welcomed him. You know that APC is the largest party both in Abia State and in Nigeria. We welcome every ‘Dick and Tom’ that wants to come and participate in APC.

Sir Maduakolam admitted that Onuigbo was an asset to the PDP family little wonder the fuss about his departure.

“He was an asset to them and that’s why they’re crying.
They have lost a big fish and that big fish has found a bigger water. So, they have to bear it.Rep. Sam Onuigbo, Member Respresenting Ikwuano/Umuahia Fed. Constituency. A zestful son of Ibere, in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State.

“What I have to tell PDP members is that they have to bear it. It’s one of those things in politic. He’s been with them all the while but now politics is changing hand and there’s nothing they can do about it.”

It could be recalled that the sudden decision of the ebullient federal Legislator has culminated in agitation at the various levels the PDP.
