2027: ECK Insists, “No Vacancy in Abia” *Calls for Unity, Progress in Abia

The President of E.C.K Foundation Worldwide, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, has quickly responded to comments made by the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

The Deputy Speaker suggested that credit should be given to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the positive developments occurring in Abia State under Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

These remarks have sparked reactions and backlash, with many viewing them as politically insensitive or as an attempt to gain favor with the President.

Chief Dr. Kalu expressed his discontent with these comments and took the opportunity to advocate for unity in pursuit of a progressive Abia State.

He also urged the Governor to “please intervene in Bende for posterity’s sake.” He stated:

“With all due respect to our Honourable Deputy Speaker, I must say that your recent comments seemed a bit excessive. While we appreciate passionate contributions, what Abia needs most now is unity, understanding, and a focus on delivering the real benefits of democracy to our people.

“Our remarkable Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has truly demonstrated capacity and leadership. Abia State has been transformed from what it once was—only someone blinded by ignorance would claim that this God-sent Governor isn’t doing enough. As you rightly mentioned, credit should go to those deserving of it. Governor Otti has excelled across all sectors, and as he continues to promote development and empowerment for Abians, one thing is clear: come 2027, there’s no vacancy in the Abia Government House. Only those blind to progress will play politics with the evident transformation we are witnessing.

“That said, I want to take this opportunity to appeal once again to our extraordinary Governor. Your Excellency, the good people of Bende town are urgently requesting your assistance in restoring electricity to our area. We have witnessed your transformative efforts across the state—in roads, healthcare, education, and governance—and we are truly proud of you. We are confident that with your intervention, light will soon return to Bende, and our people will continue to feel the renewed hope that your leadership has brought to Abia State.

“Thank you, Your Excellency, for being the Governor who makes things happen. God bless Abia State. God bless our Governor. May light shine in every home in Bende,” his message concludes.
