Amobi Ogah Promises Education Entrepreneurship, Massive Youth Employment, Security

PDP House of Representatives aspirant for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State, Chief Amobi Godwin Ogah, has promised to sponsor a bill that will ensure a compulsory and free primary and post primary education, for youths of the constituency, when elected the people’s Parliamentarian.

Speaking during a telephone chat with newsmen, Ogah listed his priorities for people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, which includes massive employment for youths of the area, and security of lives and properties of the citizens.

According to the frontline aspirant, the spate of insecurity in the area has become most worrisome, hence the need for a ‘State of emergency’ being declared in the area, in order to curb the menace of insecurity.

On employment, the Uturu born aspirant noted that unemployment remains the root cause of criminality, and why youths embark on criminal activities as well, adding that he will ensure that adequate job opportunities are created for youths of the constituency.
These includes skill acquisition training with soft grants that will enable these youths start businesses on their own, through the utilization of local resources.

According to him, he would lais with Multinational Donor Agencies, who would give trainings and takeoff grants to youths of the area, who are willing to go into medium scale production and conversion of raw materials into finished products.
Such will promote entrepreneurship on a large scale in the area, making the youths employers of labour.

He also highlighted on the need for the prioritization of the welfare of Nigerian teachers, because when they are well paid, they will show commitment and also dedication to students entrepreneurship education.

On security of the area, Chief Ogah noted that they will partnership with local communities through logistics provision and other basic necessities, for an effective crime control in the area.
