Group Commends Senator Orji Kalu Over Sensitiveness to Constituents’ Yearnings

A socio-political group under the aegis of Abia North Peace Foundation (ANPF), has commended the statesmanship of the Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, for his commitment, sacrifices and benevolence deployed to mitigate the challenges facing the senatorial district.

The group commended the former Abia state governor for being an embodiment of true leadership and a pacesetter with his constant display of love and empathy to his constituents particularly, the downtrodden who are in the most critical state of vulnerability.

The group in a statement signed by its Deputy Director General, Hon. Gabriel Idika Ukairo, Friday, in Ohafia, expressed delight with the numerous people-oriented projects across Abia North senatorial district including the construction of over 50 rural roads across the district.

“Today as a group, we are happy to have Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu as our Senator, given his achievements so far is a vindication of our struggle for the evolution of a new Nigeria.

“The group has developed a programme of action and set a target to harness massive votes come 2023 for Senator Kalu and by extension All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates at all levels.

Ukairo said Senator Kalu has exceeded all expectations by his performance in the last two and half years in office in the areas of infrastructural and human capital development.

The coordinator, who described the Senator as an effective and selfless leader who has the fear of God, said the group has no regret endorsing him in 2019, noting that his numerous achievements had vindicated the group.

The group urged other Nigerians particularly politicians, to borrow a leaf from the template now institutionalized by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu so as to build a society where love and compassion becomes a norm that could help “reduce despondency in our society”, the statement added.
